  1. What's going on with the woodwork in the third picture, the part near the ceiling, and the sort of divider with the lamp on top that is somewhat like the beginning of a staircase?

    The doors in the fourth picture are pretty interesting too. I really like Victorian excess, but I haven't seen anything quite as excessive as that before :-)

  2. This is the entry. There would have been fretwork in the doorway opening. The newel and rail is the beginning of a hall area off the main stairs. The first floor woodwork is amazing.
